Pirated Top Notch

Date added: 2011-07-11

A number of Top Notch editions have been printed illegally and distributed without cultural revisions

Lately, a new publisher, one of those who wants to make it all the way to the top without any effort, has published copies of the original Top Notch which includes cultural mismatches.  These copies have poor quality and are secretly distributed. Some institutes and individuals who are unaware of the book contents, purchase these books and after facing it’s poor quality in printing, binding, CD and so on, contact Ghazal Javan and ask for the books to be exchanged.

We would like to make a few points for institutes and schools that use Top Notch books published by Ghazal Javan under the license and supervision of Pearson-Longman:

1. Top Notch books which do not hold Ghazal Javan’s logo on their cover, back and the first few pages, are not related to this corporation and are not valid.
2. Books without approval letter of the  Ministry of Education on their first five pages (from left to right), do not belong to Ghazal Javan and are not valid.
3. The Top Notch published by Ghazal Javan contains letterpress print of “Top Notch” on the cover. Otherwise the book is not valid.
4. If the pirated copies are presented as the original book with same prices as that of Ghazal Javan’s, be sure they are not original. The price of the original copy of Top Notch is US$32.5  and it is impossible for someone to distribute the original books with a price as low as 10000 Toman in the market.
5. If you notice a bookstore is selling Top Notch books and stating another book title in its invoice,  think again about your purchase.
